Why this role matters


As Field Product Manager at Vésale Bioscience - Inteliphage, you will be the critical link between our clients (hospitals, clinicians, lab managers) and Vésale Bioscience - Inteliphage’s internal teams (R&D, Sales, Commercial, Quality, Regulatory). Your mission is to convert clinical data and observations into concrete operational strategies and ensure our phage therapy solutions meet and exceed customer expectations. 


You will own the product roadmap from a field perspective, drive market adoption and reinforce Vésale’s position as a leader in personalized phage therapy. Reporting to the Chief Business Officer (CBO), you will also work closely with the Chief Operations Officer (COO). 

What your days could look like


Market & Customer Insights

  • Voice of the customer: Capture clinical needs, user experiences, and feedback from healthcare professionals, hospitals, and labs to inform product improvements.

  • Data analysis & Indication-specific strategies: Track product performance, conduct market assessments (e.g., orthopedic infections, pneumonia, UTIs), and integrate real-world outcomes to tailor messaging and drive adoption.

Product strategy & Lifecycle

  • Strategic Positioning: Work with Sales and R&D to define clinical and economic benefits, ensuring our roadmap remains competitive and compliant with evolving regulations.

  • Lifecycle Management: Collaborate with Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, and Production to manage launches and customer supply, aligning with market requirements.

Collaboration & Training

  • Cross-functional alignment: Maintain open communication channels with R&D, Production, Quality, Regulatory, Commercial, and Field Application Specialists to ensure cohesive product evolution
  • Education & adoption: Conduct training sessions for internal teams and external stakeholders (clinicians, lab staff) on using the Phagogram and personalized phage therapies.

Commercial engagement & Field support

  • Sales enablement: Develop client training materials (IFUs, FAQs, user manuals), conduct product demonstrations and support offer or tender proposals, ensuring clarity on our platform’s clinical and financial advantages.
  • Event representation: Present at conferences, trade shows and webinars; gather market intelligence to continually refine positioning and strategy. 

Value proposition & Health economics

  • Evidence-based positioning: Lead creation of cost-effectiveness analyses, highlighting savings (e.g., shorter stays, reduced antibiotic use) for different healthcare settings.
  • Payer engagement: Convert findings into customer-facing and reimbursement-focused materials, supporting budget discussions with administrators

What you bring to the table

  • Master’s degree (or higher) in a scientific field (e.g., Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences).
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in product management, marketing, or commercial roles within biotech, medtech or pharmaceutical sectors.
  • Experience in hospital or laboratory environments (working with clinicians, physicians, or surgeons) is a strong plus.
  • Solid understanding of In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) principles, microbiology, and/or infectious disease therapeutics.
  • Ability to explain complex scientific concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven track record of successful product launches or commercialization strategies in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong consultative approach, able to identify and address customer pain points proactively.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service and solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; fluency in French or Dutch is highly desirable.
  • Effective presentation skills for engaging internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Team player adept at collaborating with cross-functional groups under tight deadlines.
  • Belgium-based with the ability to travel internationally (>50%) for client visits, conferences, and internal meetings.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Proactive, with strong problem-solving capabilities and the resilience to adapt to evolving priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other productivity tools.
